Mission 20 Letter from Iraq - Jeremy Ray

Dear Silas, Kelci, Cassie, and Andrew;

Thanks for the email. I have

attached a few pictures of the surrounding area I am currently staying at. The first one as well as

the 4th, 5th, and 6th ones are of a mosque that Sadaam Hussein

was building before the war started. If it would have been completed it would have been the world's biggest mosque. Where I am staying used to be an airport and the 2nd picture is of a jet engine maintenance bay. The 3rd one is of some buildings in the distance from

us. The last is of some Iraq gentleman building the little building. As you can see the area around here has a lot of trash. To be honest most of the areas you go to has little to no sanitation and there is trash everywhere. Where I am currently at we have a Brigade of Iraqi Army Soldiers. The pictures following the first

are of a medical trauma first aid class that I taught at the

beginning of the month to their soldiers. The last few pictures are of the flight that my unit took from Kuwait to Baghdad, Iraq.

I have talked to some of the interpreters that we have and there are christain churches in the area. I have not been able to track down a missionary for you all yet but will still try to find one. I would like to add the Iraqi Government's success, the welfare of my soldiers, and a safe return home to my family, and the expansion of the christain church in this area to your groups prayer list if possible.

Feel free at any time to send me an email with any questions you might have.
